Licence Terms

1. Who you are dealing with

Command3D is published by Fletcher Digital Ltd, 16 Melville Street, Suite 8, Falkirk, FK1 1HZ.

2. What you are buying

You are buying a licence to use Command3D, not the software itself. The licence is perpetual: once bought it does not expire, and it covers all future versions at no extra cost.

You may install and activate Command3D on up to three computers that you own or control. You can release a machine from within the app at any time and activate another in its place.

You may not resell, sublicense, rent out or redistribute the software or your licence key.

3. The free trial

Command3D runs in full for 7 days without a licence key. No payment details are required to start the trial. When it ends, the app stops working until a licence is activated — but nothing you have indexed, tagged or noted is deleted.

4. Your right to cancel

Because Command3D is digital content supplied by immediate download, you are asked at checkout to consent to supply beginning straight away, and to acknowledge that this ends your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

If you did not give that consent, or supply has not yet begun, you keep the statutory 14-day right to cancel and we will refund you in full.

5. Refunds

The 7-day trial exists so that nobody has to buy Command3D to find out whether it works for them. We would rather you tried it first.

That said, if something is genuinely wrong — it will not run on your machine, or it does not do what this site says it does — write to [email protected] within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you. We would sooner give your money back than have you stuck with something that is not working.

On a refund, your licence is cancelled and the software will stop working on the machines where it was activated. The key cannot be activated again.

6. What the software does with your files

Command3D reads your folders and builds a searchable index of what it finds. Nothing is moved, renamed or changed. No file, filename, folder name or model ever leaves your computer.

The only connection to the internet Command3D makes is to check your licence. That sends your licence key and an anonymous fingerprint of your machine, and nothing else. It happens when you activate, and roughly weekly afterwards. If your machine is offline the app keeps working — a licence check that cannot be reached will not immediately lock you out.

We do not collect app analytics, usage data or telemetry of any kind. We may collect anonymous website analytics to help improve our site. Our privacy policy sets this out in full.

7. Updates and support

Updates are included for as long as Command3D is published. We do not promise any particular release schedule, or that any specific feature will be built.

Support is by email at [email protected]. We aim to reply within 2 working days, but do not guarantee a response time.

8. Requirements, and what we do not promise

Command3D requires Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). There is no macOS or Linux version at present. If one is released, it will be covered by your licence.

The software is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be free of faults, that it will find every file on every drive, or that it will suit any particular purpose. Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

Back up your files. Command3D is designed never to modify anything, and that constraint runs through its design — but it is not a backup tool, and it is no substitute for having one.

9. Limit of liability

Our total liability in connection with Command3D is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. We are not liable for loss of data, loss of profit, or any indirect or consequential loss.

If you are buying as a consumer, this does not affect your statutory rights.

10. Ending the licence

We may cancel a licence that has been shared, resold, or used on more machines than it covers, or where the payment for it has been reversed. In practice we would contact you first.

You can stop using Command3D at any time by uninstalling it.

11. Law

These terms are governed by Scots law, and any disputes fall to the courts of that jurisdiction.
